Examine every aspect of the business to identify areas in which it can become more efficient, productive and streamlined

Be honest with co-workers, request their input and assistance.  They are an important part of the team and most or all of them will respond positively to your request.

Be productive and keep a positive attitude

Make it apparent to all staff that you are not only cutting the business costs but you are also cutting back on your personal and living expenses.

If you require finance source it as possible, don't leave it to the last moment.

Manage individual debtors accounts, particularly in terms of credit terms and buying patterns.

Carefully vet new applications for credit

Communicate with existing customers as to their needs etc.

Negotiate better credit terms with your suppliers.

Decrease your stock levels to the lowest workable levels

Monitor the cash flow on a daily basis

Create a "Survival Plan", set goals and implement.
